I have also planted my leggy sunflowers into wall planters, as they are now more trailing sunflowers rather than giant ones. No laughing please, I’m sure they will bounce back I have given them a feed and spoken nicely to them, I have learnt my lesson not to be so keen with my sowing next year. Lets hope the ones I sowed last week in the flower beds do better and grow straighter.
I've heard it's best to pull off the leaves. So all energy goes to the tip of the plant. But thats only what I've heard.... Mine are still at a very early stage yet, so I might get some research in over the next few days.
